Lively [Week 13 - Final]

Final Model Part lists 1x Base 1x Tree shape body 1x Flower camera 17x Leaf Decoration 7x Magnet 3x Paper filter 4x Illumination LED (White) 1x Recording Light LED (Red) 1x Arduino Nano Components Base At long last, this is our 3D printed base. The model for this was created in the CAD software OnShape. After the model was completed, it was brought into CURA in order to slice the model. It was printed out of Crystal Clear PLA on an Ultimaker 3 FFF printer. Tree shape body Soraya placing the tree into the base. Our tree was made out of laser-cut acrylic. Although it came out slightly too thick for the base, we were able to sand down the base to fit. Flower camera This is what our final flower camera looks like. We used a Piezoelectric Buzzer and cutting foam to simulator the appearance of a camera. The flower pedals were made of card stock. This was our flower before the camera and paint were added. Progress - Final Check-In [Week 12]

Low-fidelity Prototype  Our first piece that was the created was the base. Unfortunately it seemed that the printer had issues because the layers didn't adhere properly, making it very weak.  Our first print for our base — it didn't go well. After our base, we then laser cut our tree structure. It's 3mm clear acrylic printed from the SFU Solid Space. Screenshot from laser cut instructions for Solid Space. Finished acrylic pieces mounted into the base. Challenges Arduino with Neopixels wired up using alligator clips. For the lighting Bowie initially intended to use RGB Neopixels, we found them to be difficult to install. We considered using alligator clips (too bulky), sewing metallic thread (doesn't work well with paper), and even using copper tape (wouldn't conduct reliably). Unfortunately none of those options worked for us bringing him back to the drawing board. We decided in order to reduce complexity, we were just going to stick to standard white LEDs. Revised ...
